What do you love most about being a writer?

Starting a new book a blank page presents a challenge and endless possibilities. Finishing a book a marvellous sense of achievement.

What do you like least about being a writer?

Hitting the sticky bit in the middle of a book and getting insecure.

Do you have a favourite locale or setting for your novels? What is it and why is it your favourite?

I like to set my stories in areas I know and love, although the settings are always secondary to the characters.

Which of the books you have written is your favourite?

I don’t really have a particular favourite. Though I do have a particular fondness for some of my characters. Jake and Josh Prentice, twins who appear in two stories I have written are top of that list.

What is your favorite recent Mills & Boon, Silhouette or MIRA title by another author?

The Playboy and the Nanny by Anne McAllister, Mills & Boon Modern Romance

What are your five all-time favourite books?

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

What is your all-time favourite romantic movie?

It’s a Wonderful Life

What is your all-time favourite romantic song or composition?

"Kiss From a Rose" by Seal

What is the most romantic gesture or gift you have received?

A sexy size-10 dress from my husband I was nine months pregnant at the time. The bump turned out to be a 10-pound bouncing baby, and I’m 5’2". So as you can imagine his gesture required an enormous leap of faith!

How do you keep the romance alive in your relationship?

We hold hands even when the kids laugh at us.

What tip would you give your readers to make their lives more romantic?Where is the most romantic place you’ve ever travelled?

Besides writing, what other talent would you most like to have?

I’d love to be able to dance but I’ve got two left feet.

Who is someone you admire and why?

A friend who shaved off her hair to keep her daughter company when she was undergoing chemotherapy.

Do you have a good luck charm or superstition?

I’m not superstitious (I have my fingers crossed).

What quality do you most admire in a man?

I admire anyone with an enthusiasm for life and sense of humour.

What is the one thing you've always wanted to do, but never had the courage to try?

Ride on a Harley-Davidson.

If you weren’t a writer, what would you be?

A gardener I’d still write though maybe I’d create a green fingered hero.
