What do you love most about being a writer?

The freedom and the chance to write lots of exciting fantasy scenarios.

Do you have a favourite locale or setting for your novels? What is it and why is it your favourite?

No I try and set my books in lots of different locales. Variety is the spice of life!

Describe the ultimate romantic meal.

Breakfast in bed with the snow falling heavily outside and a real fire burning in the fireplace.

What is the most romantic gesture or gift you have received?

A car (in my dreams). In reality: my husband cooking me dinner on my birthday even though he hates to cook.

How do you keep the romance alive in your relationship?

Laughter

Where is the most romantic place you’ve ever travelled?

My own island of Trinidad to a house by a beach on the north coast where you fall asleep to the thundering sound of the surf.

Besides writing, what other talent would you most like to have?

An ability to paint. An ability to do maths would be good as well.

Who is someone you admire and why?

My Mum she’s funny and altogether brilliant.

Do you have a good luck charm or superstition?

I seem to spend a lot of time knocking on wood.

Going to bed at 8:30 with a good book, a cu of tea and a massive slice of chesecake.

What quality do you most admire in a man?

Respect.

What is the one thing you've always wanted to do, but never had the courage to try?

Parachutting

An aspiring writer.
